Why is Training Important - Regulations
The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 states that all people at work should receive adequate information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to insure safety.
The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 again states that workers given the task of using any work equipment must be properly trained to do so.
The Work at Height Regulations 2005 also state that no person should engage in work at height activities unless he is competent to do so.
Failure to adhere to the regulations above can result in prosecution and even lead to imprisonment.
