| IPAF Training |
Outreach Ltd is proud to be registered as an accredited IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) training centre. As legislation increases concerning the safe use of MEWPS (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms), so does the demand by many organisations to have their personnel properly trained to meet the accepted safety standards set out in this legislation.
IPAF courses are internationally accepted and recognised by the Health and Safety Executive. Based on IPAF’s Operator’s Safety Guide, the courses cover the safe and efficient use of many different types of powered access machines.
IPAF has revised the categories in its training programme and is moving to align with the British and International standards BSEN 280 and ISO DIS 16368, standards that regulate the design and manufacture of access platforms worldwide. From the 1st January 2008 all our IPAF training courses including the open IPAF open courses will reflect these changes. The category changes do not affect the training received and existing PAL Cards (Powered Access Licences) remain valid as specified. Existing PAL Card holders do not need to get their cards changed.
On successful completion of an IPAF course with Outreach the delegate will receive a certificate of competence and PAL (powered access licence) ID card which are valid for five years. In addition each delegate will receive IPAF’s operators safety guide and an IPAF log book, used to list their experience with MEWPS.
