New Queensferry CrossingOutreach Access were recently asked to assist in the final inspection and fitting out of the new Queensferry Crossing. The Bridge which cost £1.35billion to build, is the tallest bridge of its type in the world and is one of the largest engineering projects undertaken in the UK.

Outreach were asked to provide a vehicle mounted access platform capable of operating below the bridge deck and flexible enough to work in various configurations as required at different points on the bridge.
Product Manager – Stephen Elgie said of the Project
“When we were asked to provide a solution we immediately suggested the Palfinger P480 with its telescopic fly jib and 360 cage rotation. This enabled us to get very close to the required areas allowing for inspection and testing of various components by the specialist contractors we were working with.”

The new Queensferry Crossing is a remarkable engineering achievement and one that Outreach Ltd are proud to be associated with.
